    in the 20's through the 70's

  16. My family used to take our cars to Lou's Garage, we had one of their free loan cars one time, a four door, my dad went around a corner and the rear door came open, scary s**t when your a little kid, remember no seat belts back then...

    OK, but it is still history of LA.
    Part of the charm, you gotta admit, is the lack of foreign cars. This journey has been 100% Americana!

    No, I've never seen them before...all from angles that are new to me...that one shot shows the auction building just off of Turn 1...geez, I forgot about that. We used to have to walk through that building to get to the track and they were selling stuff that was just junk...quite an experience for a kid...walk through an auction where everyone was yelling and then sit and watch guys crash almost brand new cars....ah, heaven...such fun!
