Great job. I am just putting on the final touches on my 49 Shoebox. I started on mine in 03 and after many setbacks I am finaly going to be able to take it on it's first cruise.Seeing yours almost makes me want to start chopping. Just registered with HAMB last evening and not ready to insert photos . I am installing power steering useing a Volvo setup with my Flathead V8 and having problems locating an adapter. Any suggestions ? Shoebox Rules. Chuckster49

Wow not sure how I missed this before. the metal work you have done is top notch. usually I am the same about a car going across the pond, but not this one. wish my 49 was half as nice as this and I think mine is pretty nicely built. would love to see more of this build or if it's painted by now. keep up the good work and the insipration to us all.

Some updates, the rearend is the only thing i haven´t rebuilt in the chassie because ill searched for a 8" with better gears.... and on the way home from a show in Norway the pinion-nut gave up on the old rearend!

this was 2 years ago, i put the pices together and continue my search for a better rearend, found a 8" 3.00 from a Granada and now it´s on its way to the shoebox leafsprings!
    the old one
    [IMG]

old (black) and "new" 8" (Rusty and red)

the leafsprings on granada is 2.5" and shoebox is 2" so i have to narrow the spring mounts

That is one very fine Shoebox Ford ! I really love the tail light sections that you did . That chop is sooooo damn perfect ! I have to admit , that has to be one of the finest Shoebox Fords I have seen in a very long time .
You are truly a gifted master craftsman at the metal work you have done . Excellent work ! A very well thought out and executed job ! :D

So......what are your plans now ?
