Not so rare but still good for this thread (I think)

    Offenhauser "350" 24 bolt off a rod motor built circa 1968 - 1970.

Never fired a shot but in the process of reassembly etc...

Being from Chicago I had to have these. Not as rare as some, but cool none the less.

Putting these Edmunds Customs on my 59a with a matching Edmunds dual intake. Not the prettiest, but pretty bitchin' just the same!

Damn. If I knew how to post a picture, i'd do it on the Roamer Racing heads I have, as well as some E&S & Federal Mogul copper ones.

I recently acquired these Federal Mogul two-piece bronze heads.
The builder of my racer (the Batten Special) used them with 8 downdraught Amal carbs and was very successful at Brooklands Motor Course here in England back in the 1930s.
I have a photograph of the engine in 1937 showing a corner of a head - definitely Federal Mogul - I never thought I'd find them. Must be my lucky year!
There were two types of F-M bronze heads - two-piece, and later the conventional type as used on the Bob McGee Deuce. Can someone help "Lakes Modified" to post pictures of his Rohmer, E&S and F-M heads - that would be interesting.

According to Al Drake's book "Hot Rodder! From Lakes to Street" Stan Ochs has a two-piece pair in his collection - does anyone know of any others?

  17. NealinCA: WOW, this would have to be the best detailed flathead I have ever seen!!
You must of spent many hours smoothing and painting, I'm guessing that is Ford engine green.
    Very very nice!

    Cheers, Waz.

Yep, it don't get much better than NeilCA's mill. I have a picture of it hanging on my next to the picture of my wife and kids. I'm not going to tell which picture is larger though... :)

On a much more serious note here are our Edmunds Heads, not rare but another variation.
