That's the conditions I used to work in. After 25 years of saving to build an new house and shop those days are over. How nice it is to just turn up the thermostat to 65-70 and work in your shirt sleves when it's 0-+5 outside.

I need to follow this one. Being up north working in the barn without heat has been a bear. I am too old to be outside in the snow but a few decades back I would have handed you the cardboard and worked with you.

Don't know how you can make a hot rod out of an orange crate, but good luck with it.And that was not a rat rod, there is nothing wrong with a real rat rod, something like that is just crap, there is no name for it other than that. Some people like the old patina look, same as in antiques and other collectables. Not everyone gets excited about chrome and shiny paint, and neither is that hard to achieve to make such a big deal over it.

My hat is off to you. I think it rules that you're ruining a "survivor" from '05 to build a hot rod.

You are one tuff guy. I love cars but not enough to disassemble in a snow bank. Tell us about the other steps in your 12 step program.

I hope you start a trend. You can make a nice ice shanty out of the left overs.

so are you going to do a different body or undo some of that chop. that chop and super low stance scream rat rod. even raised up, with a chop that hard and on an angle like you did might be hard to overcome the rat rod catagory (my opinion....) unless the rest of the build is good quality
