This car was found on 4-15-94 in sun prarie wisconsin, near madison. The street stuff looks to have been added much later than the build. The license plate is WI 1963,1950 olds engine,1937 Lasalle trans,3 stromberg 97 carbs,Isky full rev master cam, solids and ADJ rockers. The rear axle was Barber pole striped in white and the center section was orange! Any body have any history or pictures of this old dragster? Gary
So, how do you know it has an Isky cam? I sure wouldn't refer to it as a dragster...that's really misleading
I rebuilt the car and have been driving it for 8 years so far,I know it very well inside and out. Have a great day Gary
I don't know any information of its history, but do you have any current pictures since you rebuilt it? Looks like a nice old hot rod you found. Keep it up.
To Mazoom1 I built the engine,so I know whats in it! Also the slicks and the line lock indicate track usage. HAVE A GREAT DAY GARY
man, i LOVED how it was before.. why the hell did you ever change that around? man come ON youre killin me and hopefully US with that...
Just what I was thinking .Anyway , the biggest change I see is raising the body up to where it matches the grill shell .Looks like most of the old parts were used . I do have to say I'd have chosen different tires , but it's your hot rod . Good job !
very cool, '26/'27 T Roadster, built Olds motor, '37 Lasalle converted to enclosed driveline, buggy spring in front of the fabbed quickchange, stretched? and stepped frame... I'm working on something similar but different right now '27 T, built Olds, '37 Lasalle, open drive, (storebought) quickchange.. your rear suspension picture helps a lot, been thinking something along the same lines but, it helps to see a picture any more pictures or info?
after a second look ....i hafta compliment you....i like the long front shocks and the taller windshield....the barber shop stripes are great....just the type of stuff a guy who would build that car would do! the "as found " pics are priceless....i like his style choice of moving the rad/shell all the way forward...too cool
