History Bob's Big Boy Broiler Opens In Downey!

32gal and I went yesterday and it was packed, got there about 1 and stayed untill 3:30,nice day for a drive in the roadster and a burger at Bobs......

Badbob took a lot of pics but i havent seen em posted yet

 

i'll be there weds night. took the week off to work on the new panel, the rain has slowed the work down.......i need a shop.

I just got back home from there. Lots of cars tonight. It was a better mix of hotrods and less low riders.

I brought the family in the Stude wagon tonight. But we couldnt eat in the car hop area because all of the gold chainers that parked there and weren't eating.

This place is going to be packed this summer.

i was there last night was pretty good didnt take the truck how i wanted to but hey next week should be there for sure, o and i always park in the car hop area pack it up with some cars and eat u just have to show up early to get good parking if u show up at 7 or 8 good luck getting good parking ull end up parking in what we like to call the loner section the big parking lot on the side lol

 

Can't wait till next wed, hopefully there will be some kewl rides there.

Sure would love to take my roadster down there, but a banger powered car from Yucaipa area would be a long run....

Stopped by today for a burger with the wife and parked in the car hop parking spot. We never got any service. We got there at 3:58 pm and went in to ask at 4:15 to see if anyone would be out for taking orders and they said yes. At 4:30 we took off with empty bellies. Is this normal? I would like to go back since it seemed like a nice place and has some good feed back

 

yeah thats normal the car hop service starts at 4 30 and ends at 10 dont ask me why it starts at 4 30 it just does

 

You just need to relax,and dream you where at "The Broiler".

 

So the pregnant wife says to me last night at about 4:30 that she wants Bobs for dinner. Aftef all of the arm twisting the whole family and I piled in the truck and headed on over to the Broiler for a burger and a shake.

Kevin...you know that you have officially arrived when pregnant chicks are craving your food.

Hey Gals and pals, thanx for the B-Day wishes. of course it was spent at the Broiler as it is the 31 anniversary of when I had them serve me in my XXXX (=name blanked out for good reason),Was a good b-day, but I've had a cold since thursday so I haven't been 100%. Was trying to play it off like it was no big deal, but been feeling it more and more. .

Just got back from the Broiler. Not a bad nite considering the weather. No rain to speak of so i did not have to clean the car this time.

Cruise nite went well tonite, Saturday night will be the last "Sun going down too early cruise" The next weds cruise will be a day lite savings time - summer type cruise, so don't forget to "spring foward" over the weekend.
