To answer some comments: Please remember this is the plug not the finished product and after being cast and chromed a lot of detail will be lost and the part will look very retro. The heals are to scale and only look large in the photos. The 8 will be part of the base and will be in her hands. A later run of bases with Chev,Ford and other logo's may come later.

It takes all kinds but I don't think you could find many shops then or now who wouldn't have had everyone there from the owner to the kid sweeping the floor taking a moment to look her over. I think it has gotten more popular to pretend you don't like this sort of thing. A bit more subtle but I don't think Nash could have sold some thier cars with out the lady on the hood to draw your eye away from the rest of it...

Now the Petty designed Nash hood ornaments had CLASS.

The new one, while based on the demands of people here who claim they're going to drop at least $150 on one, is CHEAP by comparison.

To each their own, but I think it misses the boat personally.

 

I don't think you can get any less subtle than putting a 3d porn still on the hood of your car.

Be careful about using ANY GM, Ford , Mopar or other manufacturer's logo with out permission, and yes, it does cost, and they won't approve it but it costs more if you do it without approval so stay out of that! It puts your caster in legal jeopardy too.

 

A car on top of a naked woman doesn't turn me on.

It's a great effort,but not for me. If I were going to do it, I'd prefer the Art Deco design of the original-or the Nash ornament for that matter.

I'm sure you'll get your 150 subscribers-there are lots of people and lots of different tastes out there. You could probably make another 150 and sell them if her face was a skull.

Comments: I think it would look good with flowing hair and bare feet, the overall proportion seems dead on.
I like the hand placement on the new one it looks like she is hanging on, the original while looking great in its own right, looks like she is hammering herself with a lost neon from Vegas.

 

Looking good.... I agree with the hair flowing back instead of stuck to here shoulders... I can't wait to have one!!!
