Everyone is designated a time when to arrive ( as to not clog up traffic entering the grounds) and that should be in the paper work you received. I think the times are 10 a.m. , 12 noon, and 4 o'clock p.m.

 

Travis,perich. you need to post some picts of your windshield scroll work. I'm the old guy that was in the wheelchair at Paseo 3 or 4 years ago. I'm back on my feet now. just can't lift anything heavy

ok...I need to know two things....when and where are the pinup contest and the panel jam. They are listed by priority also

 

Pin up contest happens at 7:00 p.m. inside the Suede Pavilion ( D tent) and i don't know where the pinstriping reunion happens as they moved it elsewhere last year. It IS happening though

We're all good to go here. Darling Danika (Jay's wife) will have her car in the suede room. Couldn't get everyone else in the suede room so we're over in the Pavillion with about 15 vehicles. Moving in Wednesday night, see you this weekend, if not before.

Axle, how is the rain going to affect the Drive-In?

 

It rained last year....We still drove in.

What time does the drive in start on Saturday? I think we are leaving Merced around 600am and should be there......oh.....about 830ish.

 

got a bad vibration in the drive shaft gonna try and pull it this morning and have it back in after I get back from work tonight also haven't even had time to wash the car from GNRS! this is when working nights sucks!

 

Gonna rain pretty heavy on tear down day... errr...

Looks like I need to bust out with a tarp and some duct tape for the drive home

Friday night starting about 8:30 we are going to have an open house at our shop. So come on by have a Beer/soda and check out whats new at Blue Collar Customs. The shop is just a few exits up on I80 from Cal Expo.

 

Depends on which channel, station or paper you believe. Could be anything from possible showers to pretty wet. This will be my 12th Autorama in the last 13 years and I've driven home in the rain on about 75% of them. Don't let it keep you away!

I think that it's BS how they are saying "No excessive tattoo's" for the pinup contest!!! Are they going to start saying next that we can't bring our car in if we have too many tattoos? I understand the whole no skimpy clothing thing, but understand that they majority of that type of scene is tattooed! This show has become so political!!!

 

We moved in last night with about 3/4 of our guys. The rest will come in tonight. Look for us at the back of the Pavillion, where we had the first suede section three years ago.

Add us to the list of trophy presenters for the suede room.

I also have to comment on Darling Danika's remarks. What exactly is the definition of "excessive tattoos"? I know that this is still a family style show, but tattoos are so common place nowdays that it's more unusual not to have any. Why, all of a sudden are tattoos being considered offensive, especially in our scene/culture? Danika has a good point, is it not ok for car builders, band members and spectators to have excessive tattoos but not pinup models?

Also, who's going to make that call? I can't remember a single pinup photo in any car magazine, in the last couple of years, that the model didn't have tattoos. So where do you draw the line, and again, who's going to be the one to draw that line?

I think the people who don't want to see girls with "excessive tattoos" should probably not get any tattoos. (Besides thier barbed wire armband they dont talk about). And the people who will be offended by tattoos probably shouldn't watch the pin up contest. Or leave thier house. Or turn on the TV. With that said I would like to petition for a "No overly-sensitive white-haired square policy" to enforce during the pin up contest. Problem soved eh? Don't like to look at them there tattoed low-life trashy girls? Dont watch then! Who's with me?
