This pencil drawing is of a suede painted '40 preparing to shoot it out at the break of dawn. Just like a duel in the old west! ( I guess I’ve been watching too many “Have Gun Will Travel” westerns lately!!!)

    Super drawing.

  5. Haven't posted in a while. My small offerings pale in comparison to most of the talent here. Aircooled!!

ewt2 - Beautiful work Ed. You must use a 6B extra soft lead or something. Does the actual art have as much contrast as the images do when posted on here? Something a little different from me this week. Some guys are posting work from their archives, so I made my own "old" art. Part of another job I did for a client, I created the weathered background with Corel and Photoshop, then for this piece I modified some of my hot rod line art to match the old blueprint look. Awesome Show as Always Folks!

Here's what I got this week, Torque Fest Poster #4 (just when you thought it was done)

Last, but not least is Toque Fest poster #4. This one is for the 'celebrity cars" at the event.

The Reverend Horton Heat's '50 Ford 'Big Blue Car', Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's 'Asphalt Angle' V6 Trike, Voodoo Larry's 'Voodoo Psychosis' '31 Ford and lastly Hot Rod Chassis & Cycles built 'Tangerine Scream' '33 Ford Pick-up. These on top of the poster #2 with the Barris Cars and The Roswell Rod; it's shaping up to be one HELL OF A SHOW! This doesn't even include all the home built beauties, Bobbers, Choppers and Hot Rods ripping up the dirt track outside. Oh yeah, and the bands! Too much to even think about right now.

There is going to be a very limited run on all four posters for the show being sold together as a collectors edition 11"x 17" on card stock, all signed and numbered, but you may want to be there to get your copies on May 1st. Numbers are limited (somewhere between 50-100 prints only) So make your travel plans now to head out there.

John, who's putting this on also mentioned that there are a few artists who were asked to participate in the WW2 German helmet painting to get in touch with him about their mailing address. He's apparently sitting on a few and asked me to spread the word about it. Speaking of which I gotta get on mine as well.

Interested in visiting the show on May 1st? Keep in touch with the show by heading to: www.vintagetorquefest.com

  26. Great stuff already! Kickin' start to FAS.

Here are my first actual coaster tiles I'm doing for Relay For Life in April. All are on 4x4 ceramic bathroom tiles:

Funny thing....I had three designs and needed a fourth. Just because I could, I counted the strokes on each side of my first three designs and all three had 16! So I just had to make the fourth one match!

    Wow! Just Wow!

Always amazed at the talent and creativity you all share with us weekly.

    Thank you!

  29. Mere photos and prints do not do Ed's renderings justice. Until you hold an original in your hand and study it for hours can you begin to appreciate the depths of Ed's incredible talent. Simply amazing! And when others question if they're holding a photograph, you need only tilt the rendering slightly to see the "graphite glare" and their jaws drop.
