Well we got back on the olds this week.. JG got all the garnish moldings chopped and the roof metal work done. Now we are molding in 1949 caddy quarters. We got the donor right here on the HAMB and decided it was time to get more done.. You can see why we are doing this when you see the driver quarter....we are going to re-work the skirts and section the rear caddy bumper to fit. we kept the olds wheel well for skirt fitment. gonna use the caddy gas filler under the tail light.... Thats badass man. I was just thinking about this car the other day... glad to see it gettin some more love.
That's what I was doing when you left... see how the skirt would look with the mods we were talking about...
Thanks for the positive input. Sometimes you never know what people will think. I have good ideas but just as important I have some talented guys working for/with me to make it happen... Johnny is a big asset to my shop..
I saw those tape lines on the front fenders i hope you're planning on going for a single color classy custom here body mods like this are perfect for it
Yes,single color . The tape was just messin around by the guys before we decided on the caddy quarters....
Back at it this morning.. let the sparks fly. Gonna finish the pass. side quarter and blend it into the trunk area. Then get going on the other side.. I will post more updates later in the day.. Jason
cleaned up most of the pass. side. and jumped to the driver side. We will do all the finish work once both quarters are on the car. The driver side was hit and repaired badly. It is taking a bunch more time because we are having to fix body parts that are staying on the car and mating up to the new quarter... Jason.
That's about as far as we got on the car today.. Fixing the driver quarter is a big chore. Lot's of brass to get out of the way and pieces to make before we even put the new quarter on.. Updates on Monday... Jaosn.
