I hope to find the other plate around my house somewhere and put these on my 67 Nova ss when I am done with the car.
http://s426.photobucket.com/albums/pp348/wahoo172/?action=view¤t=DSC_0002-7.jpg This is the plate for my Chrysler. It is cool because I was born in Pinellas County, that is what the 4 represents in that plate, the D is an auto plate and 505 is the sequence number. The year and the black D are an insert the locks into the back of the plate, the only two years that Florida used this style plate was 1934 and 35. I will build a custom tag bracket for this as it has no holes to mount it.
Rainhater, Maybe you could stick your stickers on some magnetic material that could then be attached on your plate when needed and "forgotten" in your glove box when no one is hassling you...
My son's friend has had this plate for years.SIHT TA3 so when you read it in the mirrror. He had to explain it to a state cop one time.
ive had so darn many in my time . have a '31 plate on my "A" . on my real car i have one very dear to my heart ............. "VN TET" pow stickers also on the plate .................. steve
tried for 1 old p.u.,, but was taken, they gave me this one which is just as cool ...when my wife rides with me it stands for 2 old farts.
I wouldn't call my plates "vanity", but I think they are cool, and I'm proud to have them. One is on my F100 and the other on my V8 Chevy powered MG. I relocated from New York to Tennessee this year and they gave me these and one more Purple Heart plate for my daily driver. As long as I live in Tennessee, I will never have pay any yearly fee for my daily driver, and my other cars are very cheap. The assholes in New York charge an extra fee for military plates in addition to the yearly registration fee, that realy sucks! I was part a group that embarrassed New York into giving Gold Star Mothers a free plate. Gold Star Mothers are women who have lost a son or daughter in war, and NY had the gall to charge those poor women for a special plate. PLease say a prayer for our military people that they will all be home soon.
You have every right to be proud, and from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. I am Vet of the Viet Nam era, the Vets all America seemed to hate. Jack
Here is the cool (actually, cold) license plate on my snow-covered, daily driver. The other plate is for the front of my '34 5-window. Jim
After my '55 was broadsided 10 weeks after i got her, i made up this personal howdy doo fer my shallow end of the gene pool, sister porkin', backwoods buddies. 3 deuces and a 4 speed? NO! that stands for 6 cylinder 4 door....
Those who harbor disdain have not a clue About what it was you were called upon to do. They pontificate with the freedom of "arm chair" safety Borne on the shoulders of veterans like you. "Thank you" for your service.
I used this DMV display plate for the MCACN Show. The best part about it was a guy walks by and asked me if I bought it on eBay recently and I told him yes. He then said that he was bidding on it also. There were a couple other plates that came with it and he remembered them too. What are the chances of that?
