Thought I would drop a few progress pictures to those that might be interested. Around these parts its hard to find E100's so you have to take what you can find. The tailgate is a 03 Dodge 1500 gate that I shorten and sectioned, lots of work to get that fitted with the fab'd up roll pan but I am making progress. At the end is a youtube link if you want to hear it.
Sure does look awesome, hardly any of these here in New Zealand which is a shame. What colour you going to paint it?
I am thinking a pale yellow like the 07 Chrysler Crossfire uses. It kind of has that vintage hue to it. Thanks. kgdb
Just don't see many being built. Gonna be cool and alot of fun. Hard to believe that sound is just a sbf.
I've been really coming around to those lately. Looks great! Keep posting your progress- it will be fun to follow. Jay
Thanks guys. The tailgate has sucked up alot of hrs. Basically I ended up cutting about 6-7" inches off each end and then sectioned the inner construction back in. Had to radius it to the box side panels and also to the rear pan that was fab'd up as well. kgdb Winnipeg
Nice job! I had a 63 Falcon van that I put a SBC and a 700r4 in. Those things are really light; you have to hang on for dear life with a good V8 in them!
Sounds sweet what cam did you go with ..cant wait till i hear it threw finished exhaust for the street
That tailgate is the cat's ass...the eyebrow reveal from dodge really looks nice. Glad you shave the handle, but the contour looks perfect! Sounds good too!
Thanks guys. I have a lot more of the mud work completed now and am working underneath cleaning and getting all the linkages finalized. Will try and grab some update pictures later today. kgdb
A few updates. Have the brakes all done, did a front disc set up, real cool and works great. Mustang tank is in and changed that over to a rear fill through the roll pan. Decided on a 69 Camaro rear bumper for the front, I think it looks like it belongs there. Lots more to do. Here are a few pics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKctT2LpNo8 kgdb
Great job! I've got a '64 stocker as my daily work truck. looking at yours makes me want to work on mine. Thanks for the inspiration, and keep it up!
Did you modify that Camaro bumper at all? I have a '63 Van for a daily and it needs something up there. The stock bumper is ugly as mud. That looks killer!
