I shure like this build. I think that the Aeromotove fuel log deal should be coppied. In galvanized plumbing or in copper. Or atleast paint it with silver hammer paint, and put a cheepie little price tag sticker on it. NOT WITH A GPC BAR CODE. JUST A CHEEP ASS PRICE. To look like it was bought from the hardware sto. got the car blowed apart. I have finished the cage and I am just about ready to put the motor and trans in. Things should speed up as soon as I am going back together.





this shows the rear cage mount. The rollcage bolts in and fixes the body to the frame.


the center crossmeber is waiting for the tranny and all the rear suspension brackets are welded up with braces.


I have got o redrill the drums to the right bolt pattern then the rearend is ready to go back under the car.


gonna run a powergen. It looks pretty good and should work nice.

With all due respect I think the turbo inside the car is the wrong way to go. I've thought about this and can't think of one good reason to mount it this way. You appear to have a good knowledge of building but I'm sorry this is going to bite you big on your back side. Imagine a passenger, possible a child, you hit the brakes or hit something and you fry them. The 32 vent at first seems like a good idea but that's not going to do anything to cool that turbo. Can't you find a better place to put it? A lot of good ideas here on the hamb but this draws a big thumbs down from south Texas. Good luck with it but you may want to rethink this. Sorry mi amigo.

There is a very hot motor in front of your firewall with some mighty hot headers. If my kid flys out of the five point harnesses thru the 2 firewalls into the turbo she will get burnt. thats why I will replace her side of the seat belts every 2 years when they expire.

I was in the hospital for 17 days. Now Im back on the coupe. Hope to still have it done for spring.

Like everyone else I'm wondering about how hot the turbo area will get. If you work with the air pressure (high and low) that forms around the car body at speed you might be able to keep it cooler.

Low pressure and high pressure areas form at various areas on your body, and you might not always be able to guess where those areas are. For example, lots of cars develop a low pressure area at the base of the windshield (maybe not with a flat windshield), or at certain areas on under the hood, etc. Try to figure out where a 'natural' low pressure area is and put the turbo area exhaust there, and find out where the high pressure areas are and put the intake there. The classic way is to glue some short pieces of yarn in a grid pattern (use rubber cement) and drive it down the road, or find a wind tunnel.

The shape of the belly pan and distance from the ground at various points influences the air flow/pressure greatly - the Formula 1 racers are masters of that stuff.

I got double pneumonia that got into my blood stream. Then after a week they sent me home with the wrong meds. So three days later On my birthday I was back in the hospital for more fun.

Very cool build, I love the Hidden Agenda!!

Insulating the exhaust side helps the turbo's efficiency by keeping the heat where it needs to be to do the work of spinning the turbine.

The small fuel line bracket actually holds brake lines also. Starting on the steering next. fun fun.
