For what it's worth Hudson Joe is a great guy who truly lives and breathes traditional iron. Just to be in the running for all involved is quite an honor.

Man what tough choices. I'm not really a trophy man but if you've ever seen one of John Mearns trophys you would have to have one.

My vote would be for the one who got it right the first time around to win the nine foot gold... the NieKamp Roadster

Really close call between #1 and #10 for me.

I chose #1 because of the headlights on #10.

    #1.

Im truly of the belief that too much money ruins hotrods.
I think its obvious which, out of this selection, have had too much checkbook applied ..

Oh, and I really wish I could give it to #10...but that interior..WTF?

Ardun heads and cheater slicks, case closed. Don't need no stinking fuel injection :)

[edit: I love the model of it on the table!]

Agreed! that car just says No apologies, just shut up and drive me. Looks like the owner has been doing just like the model of it shows.
There are some truly awesome rides here but I think this one catches the Hot Rod spirit so well. It speaks to me more than the others. Well maybe it yells to me, as the others speak pretty well too.

Even though the windshield on #8 looks like a cartoon the overall vision is right on. Gets my vote.

You have it backwards, he built the car after the model.

Tough choice indeed. They only way I could pic is to narrow it down to which ones I feel fit the HAMB standards the best and out of those which one would I want in my garage. Gee, a 32 with an Ardun, probably the top of my all time wish list so that would be my pick. Don't even know what the contenders are for the "big" trophy (AMBR) but I bet I'd rather have just about any one of these then the one that wins AMBR. Thanks for giving these cars recognition.

Outta all these cars the one thing that drove me crazy was car #3's cluttered up dash, too much!

Man torn between #1 and #6. Would have voted for #2 if it had mechanical injection. LOL

The Fake-Tina on #8 and the dash of #3 turned me off. Those numbers kinda go together. Coincidence.....?

    Thanks!

    it's #8 for me. If you notice the bronze sculpture on display with the car;
it's by sculptor Stanly Wanliss. I'm sure that the original casting of the
rod was done at least 12 years ago. My guess is that the actual car was built TO the
sculpture. That's a real turn-around on what usually happens.
So I'll take the fake patina!

  22. I am very new to the H.A.M.B. and the Alliance and am totally in awe of everything you guys do; not sometimes but DAILY. The time and effort that you expend must be incredible. My most sincere THANK YOU for the whole enchilada. I can't wait every day to see the lost and found rod, obscure article, or human interest story you have un-earthed and passed on to us readers. I enjoy your opinions and insights very much. As for my choice, it was between #6 and #8. I had to consider practicality as if I were the owner. I thought that my wife riding on my shoulders would cause too much aero-drag at speed so I went for #8. A great ride that could be enjoyed with no fear of a scratch or a rain drop besmirching the perfect paint, polished stuff, or the Corynthian Glove Leather interior. Yeah, I love #8.

  23. Really want to say 10 but those green hides just seer my rods and cones. 1 it is.

Boy it hard to pick from these pictures. I just got home from the show and these pic's don't do these cars any justis. I wish people could see them in person before they vote.

Had to go with the gold RPU. Blown flattie, diamond-tucked white interior, full-fendered and detailed to the nines? Got to love it... but any one of those cars could win and I'd be happy with it.
