Well, The motor is in and running, the body is on, and now all it needs is a drive shaft.

Heres a little peek at what Meltkamp (mark) and i did today

At 65 I get to thinking that with todays young'uns into everything that doesn't amount to a hill of beans, where is this hobby/obsession going. After readin this thread I can see it's in good hands with guys like you still willing to dive into a project and just "get 'er done". I can't imagine what you'll be building 10 years from now but I'll bet us old timers will have to move over as you come blasting by.

Not so much of a "finally" so much as "again"

OH DAMN!!! every time you post an update on this car i like it even more than the last time, those scallops really do something for it, and i thought solid green looked perfect, you showed me wrong! this car just keeps getting better. what color are you outlining the scallops with?

Is there a reason for such a high rear end stance? makes the rear wheels look oddly placed... and surely cant help cornering or is it jacked up on that last pic?

Good rake. If it was lower, it wouldn't be a rake. If you like a rake, as I do, then lose any thoughts of lowering it any more. :D

i'm not bitching about the stance as it is on that pic, i like nose down stance like that but if you have 6" of up and movement surely that's not at it's lowest?

Well, 2 different U joints later, a new driveshaft from the local junkyard, some wires and lines, and a few bolts...

    ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!

Son of a bitch do 283s pull. Its a little louder now with the hopped up comp ratio. Needs some tuning, and has a few squeeks, but man o man am i happy to be behind the wheel again!!!

Pulled back into the house from a quick ( but at the speedlimit ) jaunt to the grocery store, and no more had my motor shut off when a sheriff pulls out in front of the house and sits.

That is, till a ricer goes zinging by.

    Made my night!
