how does this stuff get back to the top? and why did I open it? Lately, instead of checking out build threads and event coverage I've just been trying to post in threads that are doomed before they get closed. (bringing it back to the top for your pleasure) just for kicks...

Ok, i might agree the thread is purposeless, but there really are some comments
that are outta place, like the one on ELA lowriders.
Dont forget that when lowriders came into the scene during the late 60s they were
pretty bitchin and mostly what a custom-head of the time had to fuel his passion.
The fact that from the 80s on things got out of control (good taste wise) doesnt
mean you shouldnt have respect for a scene so big and plentiful of great stuff.
After all now we have rat rods, but that doesnt make all hot rods crap does it?
Personally i like the chain wheel, as much as i like angel hair, but this doesnt mean
i would stick'em on any ride. Everything has its place.
    OG lows rule!

Wow, I've seen threads get shut down for drama and the risk of having ratrod content. I can't figure out what one is doing open. I'd run a chain if I wanted to look like a fuckin' idiot.

Funny thing is that there guys here locally who still run those wheels along with the pipe organ speaker cover in the back windows.

Ya just have to remember that no matter how tasteless we think something is someone else probably thinks it is the coolest thing around.

  15. It's you're car run it if you want. looks cool but besides that pretty useless.

The last time I saw one of those, some kid had it in a rusty '79 Bronco he was driving. It was kinda funny.

We had a guy stationed at Minot, ND that showed up with one on his 66 GTO. He got rid of it after the first winter, when he grabbed it bare handed and got his hands frozen to it. Took off quite a bit of hide when he pulled them free. It gets right damned cold in Minot.

I picked up one at a swap meet last year for like $5. Took it home and told my wife I had a gift for her to put on her suburban. BTW, my wife is Mexican.

She got a kick out of it acutally. I wasnt sure if it was going to be funny or if I was going to be sleeping on the couch for a few days.

My undershorts should be worshipped. It's a total miracle they can hold these giant balls I carry around.
