welcome a lot of old stock car racers on the board plus a lot of folks who have vintage circle track cars. several good long threads on the main board about old stock cars..
Welcome... I love vintage stock cars. It seems there was a sportsman 61 Ford Starliner from Iowa that sat on the pole in the 67 Permatex 300. It lead the first few laps before a broken distributor drive knocked it out of the race. The only two cars that managed to barely hang on to it (stay in the same lap) were Jim Paschal and Paul Goldsmith both of whom were in 64 Hemi Plymouths....that Ford just hauled ass!!
Very cool. I know a couple old racers, one of whom still drags his '36 Chevy to the vintage race car shows. Welcome.
