I think your ride will get overlooked with red wheels on her. Like it's been said Red is way over used. Black with trim rings or caps wouls look badass imo. Kool ride whichever way you go.

I see red wheels on similar rods everywhere. It looks good but I like to see cars that step out of the box. How about seafoam green, or blue metal flake. Or if you do decide to go with red might I sugest ruby red metal flake, mean nasty 1960's flake. The Theo thinks that would be bad ass!! Good luck.

Looks mean as is.Might loose some of that if you change the colour.
Trim rings and hub caps would look good.

Is there any other color to play to like the interior, or is it black too?

Lavender, with grey stripes. Then add a bit of purple and grey striping on the body.

Flake with matching steering wheel, restaurant style metalic seats, and some kustom paint accents. I know a guy and I need to travel!! Will paint will build or just hang out and drink your beer. haha.

The trend to Black Everything is getting too common! Bronze with beauty rings and baldys would look great, and it would compliment what you have planned for the interior. If you are running an exposed engine, its color also needs to come into consideration.

Are red engines the next big put-down? Huh?

I'd go with a light color to contrast all the black. Should make it stand out well. Just my .02

i'm not that great at picking out colors. i like the black but, i will suggest you tape up your tires until you're done building though. if you have dirty and scratched white walls you'd be better off with blackwalls. :)

That's the way to go. I think red is good but is pretty common. The green could be ok but I agree to use the rings and caps to make it a little more subtle.

I was thinking white to match the fire wall but with the tires it would be too much maybe. I agree about the caps and rings.....but I like shiny things :)

P.S.this comes from a man with red wheels:rolleyes:

I'd go orange or the cream, but contrasting pinstripes would be needed to really make them pop.

i agree with most -No Red!

I'd go with a copper, bronze or dark gold metallic (or even big flake)... maybe fog some black so they get darker toward the center so the lug nuts and center caps or spider caps stand out more...

Since your also doing your dash -What does your speedometer and gauges look like? any color there to pick up?

  29. Dark early-Ford Maroon with OEM-style pinstripes. Maybe caps, no rings ... and some smaller front tires

How about glossy battleship gray, black spiders and lug nuts... simple red pinstripe on wheel?

    What do you think?
