So i got my 31 coupe all painted now, but with the frame, the body, and the motor all being black i think i should paint the wheels a new color. I was thinking about a mint green or possibly even red, so if you guys have any ideas or input they would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a picture of the car before it got painted if anyone can do a quick photoshop, ill try to get painted pictures tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

It looks great the way it is. Red might look really good though.

If you go Green, use the "Apple Green" Ford put on Pre-war cars.
    It's a natural with Black.

Black in my opinion is the only color for wheels. Red is too rockabilly for my taste, and completely overplayed. Maybe a deep maroon? The copper/bronze would be alright if you insist. Bright colors=happy, Dark colors=Bad ass, Bad ass=HOT ROD. Just my opinion, and while Im giving my opinion maybe some shorter front tires for a little more rake. They look a tad bit tall.

Bronze, Gold or Lime Green is the way to go, red is way too played out, or you could go simple-if the body is semi gloss black, go full gloss black on the wheels...it would be a nice contrast without screaming hey look at me. Just my 2 cents!

No red that is way overdone.
Ivory/ cream/ ect would work nice.

  26. NOOOOO more red. if ya wanna be like every one else buy a honda ........ homedepot : a big coffee and take a pic of the car , take your time . 2 coats of primer per wheel , bake 350 half hour , paint , bake , 2 days , wet sand paint bake 2 days , wetsand , clear . i went thro 2 cans per wheel . and im cheap

  27. I'll second copper or a metalic gold perhaps.

Copper and Black just look good together.

  28. mustard yellow,, but on the darker side

  29. Paint them whatever color you like. I deduced from your comment, that you might be leaning toward red..that's great. I would say the same thing if you had been leaning towards white, black, green, purple, etc. The bottom line, do not be influenced by the comments received here. It is your car, do what you want..they can do whatever they want to their own cars! By the way, red has been used a lot for a reason..it looks good.
