Here is some of my stuff( )))))))i don't know about "incredible" but its ok. All of these welds are on 0.063" aluminum sheet metal. Most of them are on a slight corner seam and one is around a hole (where a threaded nipple is welded in), and the last one is vertical up on a 90 degree corner seam.

Sorry about the picture quality....they were taken with my phone at work and is a little bright and too close for my camera to handle, but you can still see the "roll of dimes".

I'm a bit rusty as I haven't been getting enough practice lately. We just took delivery on brand spanking new Miller TIG Runner 250 a week ago, so the no practice thing is about to change drastically.

Here is a recent example, 4340 tubing welded to 4140 tool steel, no filler. 1/16" bead to avoid the tapped 10-32 hole near the weld area. Sorry bout the pic quality

  6. Looks good to me! I know we're all our own worst enemies when it comes to how 'perfect' a weld looks . . . gosh knows I'm always underwhelmed by my skills. Practice surely does help - as long as it is a similar type weld. I've found that when I go from straight welds to tubing, causes me to cuss a bit:D

sure, it's easy welding on heavy gauge steel...how about some paper-thin body welding..?

You guys have some serious skills. I've found that welding has improved my grinding capabilities. Luckily I've got a buddy that's an excellent welder.

My trash probably don't need to be in this thread, but here's what I can do after a couple semesters of TIG class:

I'd like to get a TIG rig of my own, but that would require rewiring the house to support it. So I gotta make do with the Syncro 250 at work and the Dynasty machines at school.

Some handrail work I did awhile back. All welding done with an old Millermatic 35 mig gun, probably 25 to 30 years old! Still lays in a Killer weld:).The fillet in the corner has not been touched with a grinder. I have always liked Miller equipment. Have a nice week everybody, John

Most of my stuff is pretty mundane compared to even the mediocre stuff in this thread. But here's one that while not "pretty", was kinda tricky:

Customer was modding a '56 Chevy into an ElCamino clone. Don't ask me why. :D Anyway, he wanted to keep the trim, but have it match the new beltline. He gave me four pieces so that I could cut n' weld to make two good ones that were longer and with the right curve.

The weld wasn't pretty, but I was more concerned with alignment and leaving myself enough to grind off without leaving a pit.

    And the car:

I did this TIG weld on a stainless system....I was trying to see how small I could make it. I don't do them that small normally , they aren't as strong.
