Is anyone manufacturing a sbc low psi pump (under 7psi)? I was told carter does...I see one for sbf but not sbc Thanks, Pete
A pump for something like a 65 Impala with a two barrel 283 should do it but it may have a 5/16 fuel line. At O'Reilly's it's a different pn then the one on my 71 GMC with a 350 that seems to fit most Small blocks from 69 through 79 or so that don't have the return pipe to the tank. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d...i=1323032&partType=C0401&parentPartType=C0025
I want to get away from a regulator....and I know I could use a stock Gm pump for a 283. and I appreciate that link, but I think I should have spelled out my request better. I was looking for a mechanical pump under 7psi with a clockable lower housing. The geometry of my car makes this a challenging request. I dont want to run a fuel regulator off a fuel block from my firewall. I also dont want to run an inline regulator like mr gasket offers (clock like dial). I figured that there may be a mechanical pump somewhere with an adjustable lower housing offering under 7 psi somewhere so I can have "a cleaner presentation" if you will...rather than having to run the fuel line to a regulator then to a multi carb fuel line... Thanks guys for the answers.....I reallyappreciate it...I should of been more thorough up front....
checking napa's website , i found this one for a 1963 chevy...part # M3120. they claim it puts out 5 to 6.5 PSI. it looks like you could turn the lower part
I just searched Summit and they have pages of mechanical fuel pumps for SBC that put out 7 psi or less and are clockable as needed to get the fittings in the proper place for your chassis. Just choose your preferred brand.
well shit.... I feel Real stupid.....I was looking for carter stuff in particular as thats the brand I was told, but, that napa part will work great....thanks....
