Here is Jack Bishop's (former WCK Artist) version of a custom VW Bug from back in the 80's. Jack moved to Montana and some how we just lost touch over the years.

Keven...GREAT work, as always! Really enjoyed the interview elsewhere on the HAMB. You and I think exactly the same on the 'artist' thing! You can't know how refreshing it was to hear my own words from another's mouth, especially from someone who's work I have enormous respect and admiration for!!!

Seems that this place just keeps on getting better. Can't even begin to single stuff out - this week's show is outta sight!!!

Slider, mind if I file this one away in case I ever have a gap in the projects-I-gotta-build list?

  17. I meant to comment on this one too. File it, along with Jimmy Smiths beautiful
drawings in the "Great minds thing alike" file (Tho most are greater than mine;)) ...
I have a sketch I've been holding off on finishing of a beetle with fade
away fenders and a Carson top. It's got the tail dragger look to but I addd one detail that does differ quite a bit. Hoping to post it in the next few weeks.
    Deadlines come first.

I really like your idea. It reminded me of some stuff I did a while back.

    Jigger
I'm looking forward to seeing your take on this.

I got out my old sketch books and see it was 1984. Time flies.

  20. RodP. You are the BOSS!!! Those sketches are beautiful.

I'll get something up either this weekend or next. I don't want this o get turned into
a VW forum. Not sure how Mr. Norwell and Mr. Ryan will feel about that.

The styling is traditional. Maybe we can look at it that way.
    Who's Norwell?

MAN! I am good at causing contraversy! Didn't mean to spark a "non-traditional" OT spazem! Sorry Ryan -n- Norwell. I'm glad some of you liked it!
BarryC. check your pm! thanks for the great comments\
Silhouettes57: er Butch.... thanks for the merc work over comic! :) sad part is I think Tony could pull that off! and it wouldn't look half bad!
Rodp- love the early 80's sketchs! great lines and flow! goes to show somebody has thought it or done it. Glad to spark an ol idea back up!
Jigger- I would LOVE to see what you're going to do with this concept, always cool to see someone else's, cleaner and more professional spin! Besides that's what we're here for right?!? Stike up inspiration!
