    Hi Marten,

That looks like an old dutch license plate on your avator.
    Is it a dutch Chevy?
My '54 Dodge is an original dutch car with its first "linnen kenteken" lisence.

    Groeten

Another Dutchman here, I live in Texas but born and raised in the small Dutch town of De Lier (now annexed by Westland).

Used to run my own restoration and customization shop but shut that down earlier this year.

    Hi Rob,

Helaas.

Shame to hear you had to close down the shop.
Do you have some pics of your wagenpark?
Hopefully it's all getting better in 2010...

    Groeten in Texas.

I'm not from the Netherlands but I am Dutch. I still have some distant family over in Amsterdam. It's really cool to see that you guys are building some nice cars over there. Expensive to drive them, no?

Had 2 cars but just sold one, it was old and Italian, not really a good fit for the Hamb. De other one is very off topic, a 1988 Renault 5 GT Turbo, would love to have it here in the US to take to the track, but with the cost of shipping it's not really worth it. De Renault will probably be sold on markplaats.nl soon.

D-day still happens. But the cruise-inn location has moved some years ago.
The 25th edition is on the 12th of June this year (www.cruise-inn.com)
How comes that you know about it?

Hi Rob, well that's a different Rob for sure. Still good to know that a Dutch guy start a Rodshop on the other side of the ocean. And for the pre66 forum, our country is that small it is faster to visit someone's garage then to answer his answer on the forum...
