im with the37kid, what the fuck is a blog??? is that just the new trendy word for website? it cracks me up when somebody comes up with the new "flavor of the week" term for something that already exists under another now un cool name. maybe there is more to it, but that's what it seems like to me. oh, and pompadour, your photography is great!!!

You can post pictures or just write about anything and post them on your own site and it doesn't cost anything. I someday want to start a magazine, and so I blog just so people look at my site and see the name and hopefully when I do print it people remember reading it online and buy Piecrust Magazine. So I go to car shows and friends shops and take pictures and write my experiences of the day.

you need to calm down and learn what the internets can do for YOU. Here's a quick definition from Wikipedia:

A blog (a contraction of the term "web log")[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

The term "weblog" was coined by Jorn Barger[58] on
    17 December 1997.

The term has been around for a very long time.

All of you may wish to warn folks-- that may be at work, and are not familiar with blogs in general that some of these contain "inappropriate" content for corporate America. Thankfully I am off this week, but the first couple links I clicked on had (heaven forbid) boobs on the first pages and I would have been scared to death of our corporate IT department monitoring what I was looking at and getting shit-canned for 'porn'.

Just add the phrase 'NSFW' to your links.

Let's see how long it takes folks to figure out what "NSFW" means.... :)

I've been logging tinkering, misteaks (many) and successes (few) with my '55 Chevy pickup for ten years now. I slowly added sections for my other rides over the years.

'55 1st Series Chevy pickup (BillyBob)

'91 Jeep Renegade (Renegade) not a HAMB vehicle
    http://www.laroke.com/larryk4674/2000/renegade.htm

'93 Chrysler Concorde (BettyLou) definately not HAMB
    http://www.laroke.com/larryk4674/2005/bettylou.htm

'37 Chevy Utility Express (Deerslayer) now this is more of a HAMB ride

Bob, A blog is more of a one man billboard where one guy posts stuff he's interested in. A lot of times there is a comment section attached to the posts. www.prewar.com is kind of like a blog. They are only as worthwhile as the guy doing the posting.

One I started following today that I know you would like is this one:

    http://affairsc.blogspot.com/

Prewar cars, 50s era racers and flapper girls.
