oh and by the way, the Patina, is very real. I loved the patina for a bit, i think it gave it great character, but it gets old after a while, you want to shine something and make it pretty.

which is why i built this after i got rid of the cad.

I am always interested to know how the deals go down in relation to selling and shipping cars overseas.

I'm from Australia, down under. I just drool when I go on Craigs list and also on the for sales here on the HAMB. I have always be concerned about doing a deal as there seems that there would be a lot of trust involved? Can you guys tell me how get around this problem.

I'm keen to buy from the US but not sure how to go about it?

I recently saw the Jerry Duncan 32 coupe on eaby for buy it now price of 45 grand US. That price was a joke it would have been around 60 odd grand Au dollars landed here, that is the price of a glass car down here.

The only reason I did not buy it was the thought of getting ripped off.

what did that roadster look like..... color, engine etc.?

There is not that many 32 roadsters here, so shouldn't be hard to locate.

I dont have any more cadillacs, and really i dont plan on buying another one. Im over them. Ive owned something like 20 lol

When i put my chevy up for sale two months ago, all the interest was coming from Australia, Germany, England, and even Canada. It didnt sell though. So i still cruise it every week!

I cant wait to see some pics of the 53 in sweden.

What are you plans for it?

How much $$ was it to ship from Ca to Sweden?

  13. My '57 Chevy Bel Air four-door hardtop left here last Tuesday on the way to its new owner in Sweden.

Earlier this year, I sold a '35 Pierce-Arrow and a '68 Plymouth GTX to guys in Finland, and my '60 Edsel Ranger four-door hardtop will be going to Germany in January.

In each case, I found the new owner to be knowledgable and appreciative, just the kind of person you would want to have a car you'd enjoyed. Each of the four already owned and drove other American classics.

I understand a Scandinavian cruise night is quite a car show.

  14. love that car, congrats to the new owner..sad to see it leave the states though

I bet the guys in Sweden are more apt to build and drive the cars rather than let them rot out behind the shed. Good on them for keeping the tradition going.

It is hard times here as well and many people are out of jobs.

We have new tax rules here now that have done it much more expensive to import a car so the swede import era can be over.

The pic shows 2 skylarks going back to USA, but the import to Sweden has been massive for many many years.

Car's move all over, it's a small world, We in England bought hundreds of early aircooled VW's from the Swedes and now there's quite a few going back there, i also know of quite a few cars that came from the US to the UK and now have headed back to the US... it's a worldwide market place so don't dispare!

Lovely Cad, perfect looking as far as i'm concerned, please just lok after it(i'm sure you will) and don't cover that lovely history with shiney paint!

i'd love to visit a show in Sweden, especially that massive one in the summer, what's it called, the big meet or something?

    enjoy! :)

It is worth the trip I can promise you, almost 15,000 American cars in one spot is the closest you get to heaven :)

  25. Then stay another week, and go to the Power Hot rod Reunion
