Mine would rub a little on a tight turn, but not enough to worry about.

My 64 A100s aren't what you're looking for, but I couldn't resist. They fit the topic:

I always liked the A100s but never really considered the trucks. See the pics in this thread changes that. I'm really starting to like them.

  7. These are some of my favorite trucks.

A close friend of mine has a '69 short box. It has the slant 6 with a 3-speed. We just picked up an 833 with OD that we will put in. He also picked up an earlier Dodge dash that he is going to put in.

I kind of ruined him. I showed him a few pics of gasser trucks so he just put a set of cheater slicks with wide whites. We plan on raising the front an inch or two.

He has a long way to go but he drives it daily and it looks pretty cool. I will post a few pics soon.

  12. I wouldn't piss up a Dodge's ass if it's guts were on fire, but I like these trucks. My brother has one with a filthy Mcnasty 340 magnum, and a car 4 speed. Very cool.

Here are a couple of pics of my 1963 SWB gasser( hope they attach). Both axle moved forward two inches and rear dropped 2.5 inches.

This truck screams Dick Boynton's B/FX not Gasser.

That's what I'm shooting for, with a couple of my own twists!

with the wheel base moved it's not what would have been classified as a gasser .Gasser's are over done be different you got the makings of a super bitchen altered wheelbase pickup.

I was going to try to duplicate the "Flying Barn Door" but high 12.70's elapsed times were cool back then, but I want something a bit more. So I set out to take Dick Boytons concept and alter things a bit farther.
After cutting and relocating the firewall back some, the engine/auto trans. now sit nine inches back from original location. Will be adding the fourty two inch ladder bars soon.
Gasser... Altered... what ever one wants to call it, I'm having fun building it and can't wait to lift the front wheels off the ground!!!
Thanks for your intrest/comments I do appreciate it.
