This what im going to use in my coupe. A very early Dodge dash that I got off of evilbay. I was going to use the gas tank as a dash but it is rotted so it wasnt worth the time to fix it so this dash came along. Give me your input but not to high jack this thread.
Jeebus..............there are about 30 Model A dash threads on the board. Here is a link to one http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=362817&highlight=dash With this same reply telling you to search and a link to ANOTHER dash thread. Really, the search works. SISO
Haven't done mine yet,but it will be similar-kind of a '32 shape out of curly maple with black Faria gauges-not sure about the insert yet.
Here is a thread I did on the 40 Ford dash and it's use. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=318841
I'm using this exact dash in my 30 coupe! My steering wheel is frighteningly similar to yours as well. Great minds think alike!
65 'stang column will come out for a 40 ford. instrument cluster will get engine turned insert with SW curved glass gauges. still have a long way to go...
Here's my '31 Vicky dash. The gauge panel is a reproduction accessory item called Aristocrat. It screws right over the stock cluster. I had it chromed and have an engine turned insert. Of course, I've enlarged the holes to accept the modern Stewart Warner gauges with the vintage Stewart Warner Speedo. The original fuel level site is top center. From left to right, ammeter, oil pressure, stock speedo, water temp, clock. I've spent a lot of miles staring at that cluster.
