Someone local to him needs to confirm this.

I recently had a 12 day hospital stay and during that time would have been very unresponsive on the HAMB, but am very much alive after the fact. Or he may be sitting on a beach somewhere...

My sympathies to his family and friends if he really is gone!

What? His last activity on the HAMB was 11/21/09 according to his profile,,,what happened?

    RIP Jay.

  4. Terrible news. He was my internet friend for over ten years. I will miss him, his humor, and his insight.

  5. His Mom passed away November 1, but I've not found any reference about him.

Always enjoyed Jay's contributions. When he was moving from California we had a deal going on a F-1 chassis that never materialized but the PM exchange was priceless.
Hope someone will be able to get the real story.
I'm in shock. If it's true..........God Speed Jay.

Hopefully there will be some confirmation, preferably of his health and well being.

We all need to keep in mind just how fragile life can be and how quickly it can be gone. Tell your loved ones just how much they mean to you.

It's true. :( I just got off the phone with his lovely wife.

Jay meant so much to so many people and so many people here on the HAMB met so much to Jay. My heart breaks just thinking about this awful news. My condolences to Jay's family and many legions of friends.

    Jay,
    Good Friend,

Maybe I'll see you on the other side some day.
    Until then, rest in peace.

What a great loss, I learned a lot from him over the years. RIP C9

  24. Sad ,sad news indeed. I always enjoy reading his stories. I am amused at the touch of innocent, believable, mischief in them.

Jay is one of the HAMBsters I most wanted to meet. I guess that'll have to wait, for now.

I'll miss him here on the HAMB to be sure. Condolences to "Sweetie", his family, and friends. :(

    RIP Jay

So what happened?? Had he been ill for some time or did he just have a massive heart attack?

Just was talking to him through Pm not long ago.

Sad news indeed. Jay was great at telling stories from "back in the day" that had a perfect authenticity to them. He'll remain with us through his stories.
