Some wedding pics: We put a little Vintage flair on it.

As some of you may have seen from my previous post I was on the hunt for a real cherry car to drive in my wedding, well, as it turns out it was a harder task than I thought. I'm glad I didn't get a car since it gave us the opportunity to drive our truck, the one that new the wife loves possibly more than me. Here are just a couple pics to give you an idea of the crazy wedding we had.

Here is where we had the ceremony(not my pic, thanks google!). It's the DooWop Museum in Wildwood NJ.


Here's what the inside looks like when it's not full of people. It has a ton of old 50's stuff including Neon signs from closed Motels, a full Geneva kitchen(just like the one I installed in our house), and a full Ice Cream shop.





After 5 years of living together, we did it.


The wedding party, a rag tag group to say the least.


And one more for good measure.


Now on to the truck photos. It was just starting to rain as the ceremony was about to begin but come hell or highwater (which is possible down the Shore) I was drivin the truck even though it doesn't have wipers and the headlights were acting up.


Being the photographer that I am I scoped out this section of road the day before the wedding, it's the little stretch that leads you to the Country Club where we had the reception so I knew there wouldn't be much traffic other than wedding guests. So I pulled the truck into the middle of the road and they made for my favorite pictures.







Then we got this kick ass gift from a couple guys who work for me.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The truck was bought from Danny (HotRodPrimer) a couple years back and shipped up to me here in NJ. After going over it time and time again I think I finally have it sorted (other than a ballast resistor) and she's been good to me. It crapped out on me at the Pumpkin Run 2 weeks ago but it made the 2 hour trip down to Wildwood and back flawlessly.

yessir. For the longest time I kept saying I'd never get married. We could live together forever but I didn't see a need for the formality of it. Then I realized I didn't want to be 40 with a "girlfriend" (sorry 40yr olds with girlfriends ). I had a solid 5 year test-drive, if you will, so it's not like I found out she was a slob after we got married, I knew that she left her clothes all over the place long before that! haha.

Wow! Those are some cool pics. What a sport she is sitting in the back of that truck with that white gown on. That rocks! Congrats.

 

Sssssshh, there's a little green fleece blanket I hid under the dress so it wouldn't get mucked up. It's on the seat of the interior shot too.
