He got to drive 150 MPH though. More than most of us can say. And Troy from Hollywood Hot Rods got a Cameo
Irritating fucks on TV? Just switch on the Secondary Audio Programming (the SAP button) and viola' now they're speaking Spanish-problem solved and it makes for a much more amusing show...
I caught it last night, there was a lot of HAMBer's cars in this episode. Very cool! It will re-air again 7AM central time on Sunday on Speed.
Barry and his fake teeth are indeed annoying as hell. STFU, Barry! Show some cars, not the teeth!! And Dennis Gage is a d-bag. Met him, hate him. Thinks he's God.
I'm glad I'm not the only one........."We're PAAAAAAAAYYSHIONATE!!!"...(in too close to person being interviewed) "Are you PAAAAAAAAAYYSHIONATE???" (shifty shoulders) "We're PAAAAAAAAAAYYSHIONATE!!!"...................
Just to add some light to the situation... Barry is a close family friend of mine and was also my boss for almost three years until a few months ago. Sure the guys got some fake teeth, no he never stops smiling, yes he says PASSHIONATE alot, and yes he does seem fake alot of the time... is he?? NO!!!! Barry is one of the most passionate (not Passhionate), caring, most down to earth people I have ever met. The guy doesnt have a mean bone in his body and truly cares about our hobby and its future. Sure alot of times he may not cover what most of us are into but the guy is solid and truly cares about people and Hot Rodding as a whole. Just thought you guys should know...
I went to www.CarCrazyCentral.com and found this info: Bonneville Speed Week Mon 11/16/09 8:00PM Sun 11/22/09 5:00AM Mon 11/23/09 12:30AM Mon 11/23/09 12:00PM These are on SPEED and the times shown are PACIFIC. The show was good, and as always, I liked seeing Big Olds.
don't trip....you looked good....did you pull a car on the salt?....couldn't tell if it was you or not
thanks for the input....it just seems like money = your fake around here....but then again he is a little creepy....
I think they should take Barry off the TV along with Dennis Gage then all we'll have is NASCAR.... who needs anything else? Right???
Thanks bud! The convertible pulling the car on the salt was more then likely Steve's dark blue Pontiac from CT or more likely one of his crew pulling Steve in his roadster. I didn't see the episode yet so I'm only guessing based on what fat fendered convertible were there.
Looks like I'm going to be another one setting the DVR for 05:00 am Sunday. I just wish Meguiar still sold the Competition paste wax that they sold in the late 60's and early 70's that was some slick stuff when you buffed it out. I can put up with a bit of nonsense if he shows some nifty cars.
I have met him a number of times and he has always made the time to stop, say hello and chat. He is a great guy and as passionate as any of the rest of us regarding our interests. He just does it more publicly then most. I'm betting those that are saying crap about him have actually never met him or had a conversation with him. There will always be haters in the world, trust me, I've got my fair share and I don't even have a TV show!
