Here's mine, for my 38 Lasalle. 34 Plymouth gauges. All electric switches are behind the driver side cubby hole.

 

Here's one I made from different pieces for my 28 coupe......

Covered Fighter switches are Start, Fuel Solenoid, and a Master

The other 3 on the sub panel are air suspension swtiches firing solenoid valves...which also need to have covers.

I don't think there is anything cooler than retro fitting a 50's dash into a pre-50's hot rod!

 

well mines no where as cool as most here,I wanted to redo the dash in my 56 gasser/street freak yet keep the sorta stock look to the panel an period correct to mid 70s when the car was built,I made the center piece outa aluminum and painted it to look like a stock dash(insert in stock trim) I wanted to move the gauges up into the panel and add a volt meter,some one had added a pull out deck in the early 80s so I junked it and moved the Kenwood am/fm cassette.cd changer controler over to the right about 3 inches,then put the lighter all the way to the right instead of next to speedo (phone power) oh yeah added a K-Mart (new) 8-Track under the dash just for looks.........now I gotta find a 56 chevy lighter

Well mine didn't take as much designing as most of the others. Just some Auto Meter gauges and clock in my 51 convertible.

Here is the stock setup in my 1943 Ford Truck. I believe this is the way they came from the factory for military use. All Stewart Warner Gauges. All still work, and I think some may even be original. Those 2 things to the left and right of the speedo are lights that shine down.

I just noticed a moon column drop on this thread i have one also buddy of mine picked it up at a garage sale for 2 bucks does anyone know when these were made?

Found this one at a Concours event in Newport Beach, CA.

 

Lincoln KB w/ late '40's SW in a Deuce 5W dash.
The insert itself is going to be vertical black and silver stripes
like on a '53 Caddy dash.

 

Here is a work in progress... cutting the holes tonight... two 5" and six 2.25" in a 27 Roadster

Here is a Hudson Jet dash put in a 1934 Ford Pickup. Took about 10" out of the middle. Thought the gauge pod was cool.
