What year is this truck?

Im on a quest to find my grand dads old truck. I believe this is a 1928 pickup.my mom said it looked like a dog catcher truck. Which is making me think its a screenside model more than likley it was scrapped long ago.

Dodge and around 22 as Lowcab said. The windshield posts are one tale tale sign. The radiator shell with the emblem the other.

 

Dumb question: can you have the license plate number traced? Or is too old to be in the DMV system?

It's older than 1922. It doesn't have the brace between the headlights. Try '18 or '19. Also notice that it has the low cowl. Also, for the record it's not a truck, it's a touring car; five passenger.

first place I'd have a look would be the barn in the background.

 

Waaaaay too old to exist anywhere.

 

For what it's worth, that is a 1924 license plate so it's definitely older than that. While the small lettering and numbers are hard to read, 1924 was the only year that the '24' was vertical and not horizontal (like '23' or '25').

 

that would be amazing if you could find it.
