Hey all, i'm building a 65 chevy II gasser street freak themed. I'm looking for some inspirational photo's, and would also like to see what you guy's got for chevy II gasser's. I will start with a pic of mine.

Thanks all for the kind words and the photos!

I found the car in an abandoned farm yard that was deing bull dozed for a new housing developement. The car was just a stripped bare shell when i got it. When i got it, it had an old ibeam axle in it, that was built very scary! I is also tubbed and most of the tubbing in rear trunk floor is all brazed galvanized steel. The story i heard was it was a kid in high school built it with the axle and a 396, then it was stolen and stripped.

Here's one that ran at my home track in 1973, even had the "Moon" fuel tank on front of the grill. The car is sitting on the scales in this old photo.

Here's a picture taken of mine about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

When I got the car just after saving it (it was on a trailer heading to the crusher) about 4 years ago.

I have so many people tell me "you should have built a street car!" I ask them what makes you think it isn't? Here's a photo of our ride up through the Smoky mountains this past weekend.

If I can't drive it don't want it!!!

Jay here is a link to the build up of my car.

30 year old picture of my old Nova before paint. It sat fairly high but not nosebleed high. Ended up with an old school reverse opening hood scoop before I sold it to go drive in circles in 1983.

My 62. It was still a race car when I got it, and was pretty hacked together.

I pulled the race motor out and built a new motor for it (385 ci stroker) and made the car street legal. Had to add wiring, charging system, lights, interiour, pretty much had to add or redo everything!
