I pulled the fog lights off, those stupid mirrors, and the bumper. Then pulled the bed off, cleaned up the frame and painted with the rear suspension. The springs were put under the axle along with a c-notch. The under side of the bed was cleaned and painted while it was off.

I then pulled the front clip off. Cleaned and painted inside and underneath.

Pulled the motor and trans and front suspension. [IMG]

dropped in a freshly painted 302/c4, 2.5 dropped axle from sid. Reversed the main eyes and had de arched 1 inch. Front fame and suspension painted. Fresh paint on the wheels with a set of $100 cokers all 4 corners.

Got the front clip back on. Got to ditch the chrome covers. I hate them.[IMG]

Here's how she sits. I prolly take a few springs out of the front next summer to bring it down a little in the front.[IMG]

That's all for now. The whole underside is painted black. The interior is is done satin black with a few red accents (no pics yet). Next summer the outside will be painted.

Sold the motor. I can drive stick but not as a daily due to medical condition. So I sold it for the auto. I may do front monos next year but they are $4-500. I'll see how it drives and handles.

Yeah, I had it shipped to Illinois from Sacramento. No rust and very clean. Hard to find that in Illinois.

Looks great man! I have still yet to drive mine with the motor I picked up off of ya. Think I'm going to run a T5 manual in it instead of the 3.

Haven't really took it out yet. I still need to replace the points, mount the radiator, and make a few carb adjustments. Hopefully I'll get it out this weekend and then I'll update. The front end could come down a little more. There is bigger rake than the pic shows.

So I got it out today. The stance has grown on me. I like the little rake that it has. As for the ride, I'm not complaining. I'm used to driving lifted trucks with stiff suspension and this is really no worse. It rides fine. No bump steer. The only tough spot is when you hit a big bump. Other than that, the little stuff doesn't affect it as much as you would think.

I didn't cut out the crossmember. The driveshaft is about an inch away when it bottoms out. Could use a trim maybe but whatever.
