I know someone who's doing it with a '47 Oldsmobile, from the windshield to the front bumper. I'm sure he's post photos as soon as he's done.

Yeah, except he's doing it in his house, on his main living room wall by his pool table. Yep, he's single. :D

Denise, The guy I modeled mine after had put holes right below the roll on the top of the headgate on 18" centers so he could mount it to his shop wall. Once he realized that all of the tailgate load is focused at the top of the stake pockets, he scabbed out the two studs that were closest to them and ran lag bolts through the top of the pockets at an angle.

You might even be able to do away with the headgate entirely. You could recess a shelf in to the wall the same height as the tailgate and use it as a giant liquor cabinet/bar. Of course if the wall depth is an issue you could just leave the bedsides long enough to accomadate your favorite beverages of choice. ( I don't know you well enough to know what size bottles of booze you buy.:D).

  16. My desk lamp(sorry for the crappy pic:eek:) Take one junkyard Poly valve cover and add a $5 desk lamp. Spray with hammertone paint, letter, and this is what ya get..

Looks like I need to come down there and do alittle cleaning for ya.:D

Actually since I am building the wall that this will go on, and there's a deep closet on the other side of this wall, I can make the wall depth in this area as deep as needed. Recessed to hold bottles behind the tailgate is an awesome idea! You're going to have to come for cocktails once it's built.:D

Garage art? My garage ended up being all the "art" I did for over a year. This is the West wall.

Good, glad to hear it. I will need to know my choices though by the week after Christmas as I am building a nitch in the new TV wall for one of your clocks and I'll need an approx size so at least one of the nitches is large enough.

Not saying you have to sell it to me at that point but as long as I've picked out the one I want so I know the size, that will be good enough for me. :D I can look at a empty nitch in the wall for a long time.... as long as I know something as cool as one of your clocks will be going into it in the future. ;)
