Scatch Daniels tried the 2 wheel qualifiying technique at T/H but I don't think it worked out as well.

    The Atlas Chrome Spl.

IIRC the car is still sitting somewhere in N Cal in unrestored conditon with an owner that prefers to sit on it,as it were......

Keeping it unrestored is OK with me but not showing it or stretching it's legs, providing it still runs, that's kinda being a touch selfish.

Last thing I heard it is in a shed rotting away, basically. Someone correct me if I remember this wrong.
Owner was said to be the very unfriendly type, too IIRC.

Anybody have any info/photos of roadster or the champ-sprinter? My boyhood hero lost his life in that car (the Vargo champ car) at Trenton.I watched him race a coupe in the old Pittsburgh Racing Association in the 1950's. He was the smooooothest
driver I have ever seen. Anybody remember Dick Linder? John S.
