Here's a few pics from saturdays Open House at 808 Speed Shop. Thanks to Martin for hosting a great "grass roots" event. It turned out to be a good opportunity to bring together the few HAMBers here on Oahu. Unfortunately I broke out the camera at the end of the day when things were winding down and didn't get pics of all the rides that were there. I'm sure Martin can post up more.

If it weren't for the demise of the inter-island ferry, we could've had a state wide HAMB event. Gotta figure that one out.

That's right Rod, Baby Hemi. All the Hot Rod guys have been trying to steal that motor.

    See you soon Johnny!

Snow? What is that you speak of? Thanks man.

I was there last winter and it rained on and off, but even when it was raining it was still awesome.

You know, that frozen water that likes to fall from the sky so we can be blessed with 2/3 of a useless year!

Replace rain with snow and this is what Kauai would look like:

You guys can start the Austin "Safe House" here in da islands where Texas expatriates can find their island groove. Hey, that's actually not a bad idea, but sounds a little like a commune or something.

Buddy, whatcha doing on the HAMB!

That description sounds downright romantic. I told you, that La Salle would be just too much for the islands, you'd make grown men cry!

The Big Islands got the best driving! You can actually go more than an hour before running into the ocean. Enjoy.

Yup, Martin (50merc808) did a great job of getting us all together. Almost ran out of parking! I hear rumor of another event brewing soon. ;)

That's what attracted me to the big island , it is so unspoilt & there is a drag strip :) , such a shame the inter island ferry went Kaput . I will be visiting you when I get there though .
