It's the "A" support (don't know the exact term) bracket at the bottom of the firewall, bolting to the frame. I didn't see any EMS replacements, so I was wondering if anyone else out there made them. I'm figuring not, but wanted to throw it out there anyway. If anyone else out there has dealt with this, I'd be really interested to see what types of patches you made and how you did it.

    THANKS!!!

They SHOULD make those - they tend to rot out at the bottom just like yours.

anybody with the ability to properly weld in a replacement panel there should be able to fab one up that would work just as well.

just get some steel and smack it with a hammer until it looks like the part you need.

Not being a talented metal-smith, depending on how yours turns out, you might have a business on your hands!

What did you end up doing to remedy the problem? I looked at Chevs and EMS. EMScustomerservice told me to post a pic of it so they could see it. You'd think with all the folks that seem to have rotted ones, they have been all over it by now.
