Thunderbolt and Lightfoot one of my favroite movies! Im surprised no ones brought up the B movie "The Car", I believe it was a George Barris custom, and like "Duel" you never saw the driver! Favroite part is when the car runs over the tuba player!

  12. Yeah, the Night Rider #1. Have to say something for "the Humongous" from "Mad Max 2" (that's for you, Doc :D). "JUST WALK AWAY..."

  13. Yes! That was awesome, I forgot about that. Everyone needs to see that movie.

Be sure and watch the DVD with the director's commentary running.
There is some really great info there as well.

  15. George Kennedy (Red) in that movie was as bad ass as it gets...

For sheer never-give-up toughness...how about Richard Pryor as Wendell Scott in Greased Lightning?

Did I miss it along the way or has no one mentioned Bo Hopkins as Joe Young in American Graffitti? That was the kind of tough guy we probably all knew and didn't want him to notice us. I know there was about three guys just like that in my neighborhood when i was a kid.

Gotta be McQueen in Bullitt. Need to see it on the big screen to feel your stomach drop on the jumps. And who can beat Max Balchowsky as a car preparer? IMHO, greatest chase ever with Ronin coming up next.
