I am using a 1953 -56 F100 steering box in my modified roadster. The pitman arm is a completely different style of attachment and spline than the F-1 and the 1932-48 ford car.

Are there other pitman arms that will interchange with the F100 style that will get away from the ball style mounting of drag link where I can use either a tyrod end or a heim joint on the F100 box?

    Thanks for the help.

Grind off the backside of the pressed ball, remove the ball and weld, or drill to the size you want. I run a dodge d100 steering box in my 56f100, had to weld the f100 steering ball in the d100 steering arm. What I did was what you need in reverse.

I used an F 100 pitman arm on my 37 ford stock car just by filing a few splines in it...don't know if it would work like that the other way around, but would certainly be worth a looksee.

I think a later F100, 57 and up arm is a bolt on and uses a standard tie rod end.

    This is correct.......you need to get a 1957 F-100 pitman arm.......I am using a box from a '56, but with a '57 pit arm........works like a charm.....

I got mine brand new from John's F-Fun Hundreds:
