Thanks Elrod!! What's up with that guy??? I was about the post the same thing... And when did I ever say it was a 30???

so can you see why I stayed back and did not make your show! I was REAL bummed about it last week... And then put in the extra 50 hours into the body work. I just was not going to quit. I'm still tired...

Holy crap! That thing is REEEEEEEE ED!

The cops will see it way before they hear it.

Looks like a lot of work. But, a lot of fun too.

Are you going to put the wood back inside? If you are thinking about making your own kit, let me warn you ... there are very few straight edges. Aurgh.

Thank a lot guys!!! Doc, I am looking forward to posting the first drive soon. Severial weeks way, but looking forward to it...

63Dan, No wood for me... Yes, the body work was a LOT-O-HARD-WORK!!! Mostly because I learned how to do it the 3rd time I applied filler and only really learned after I sanded the High-build primer. It shows everything.... Lots of respect to the body guys!

It is 12" in the rear and 4.5" in the front. I'm hoping for a finial ride height around 6" after all is said and done.

Here is a real update... Last weekend I rebuilt the headers, had'em sand blasted (in Ponder ;-) This weekend I painted them, put in the tail lights, fit the break pedal, made mounts for the gas tank, drilled holes in the floor for it to fit back in...Mocked up the drag link, put on the linkage of the carbs, bolted on the gas cap, hummm... Oh, went to Good Guys on Sat before the rain.

    Things to do:
Finish plumbing the front breaks, re-route the fuel lines at the carbs, decide on seats, glass, wireing, bleed breaks.... I'm sure I'm forgeting severial things...

I did not have the baffels in when we fired it off the fist time. It was loud as hell. The over all plan is to get it on the road then run the pipes out the back with some kind of muffler...

Big Tony: Yes the plan it to have it out on te 24th. The main two things I'm focused on after this weekend are wireing the basics and the finial break plumbing. The rear is done. I still need to do the fronts from the T to the right side. Bleed them... The tighten all the blots etc and take her around the block. I figure 2 good weekends ought to get me out of the garage on a test drive. Since the show is less than 5 miles from the house I should be able to make there.
