I wish....mine is still needing a lot of work, although that mostly means it needs some ambition thrown at it.

plans are for a 11:1 427, muncie, 4.88 posi rear, and hopefully leave those old Drag 500s on it. I have the rearend together and in, I have the trans and all the parts for the motor, and the old floor cut out and the new one not quite fit well enough to weld in. Bodywork always slows me down.

Autumn maple poly, a mid 80's gm color. The car was born honduras maroon, but couldnt get it in urethane if I remember correctly. this color is similar but a lot richer. thanks for the compliments. I have owned this car for 25 years

    Thanks a TON, man!

I've been looking for a color like that for my 62 Bonneville for a while.....but deep down, I was a touch concerned about red with green tint glass......but yours looks AWESOME....and has also made up my mind on the white interior!!!!!

Im going back out to continue sanding 1st thing in the morning!!!:D

    "Re-Inspired"????:)

Glad it helped re inspire you. Now lets get back on topic, how about some 61 drag cars so belairebubble can get inspired for his build. or are we going to try and nudge him over to the mild custom side (nudge nudge) just kidding good luck with your project

I pirated all these pictures from Dan Bell, so he should get the credit. I don't know if he posts on this board, but his business partner at Texas Thunder Racing does, so credit needs to be given where credit is due.....

you can see a lot of Dan's Pictures and posts at....

Here's a couple shots of one built in N.Y. a few years back!

We had the honor of doing the 540" BB engine for it!

It is also a 4-speed setup!

    Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. The unit made some serious HP with 9.75:1 compression and runs fine on 93!

  26. Here's one I built in the early 90's. Sold it7 or 8 years ago. Still in the area.

This is the nicest car i have ever seen.

  29. Guys i am liking the torq-thrusts on the fronts of these cars. I already purchased a set for the car and plan to run bias ply rubber on it possibly with the redlines now after seeing how good they look on LosBoulevardsJames's car. The ideas are a flowing from your pics guys. Thanks again!
