Bob....you think all NON FACTORY interior is hideous.

id be curious to see if is THAT bad!! No one has a picture?

the last conversation we had about interiors you called my, recently purchased, Lincoln town car seats..... GAY. which is not only obnoxious but also rude, silly, and opinionated! they might not be as nice(well i know they are not that nice) as factory, but GAY is a bit much.

they are a great fit, inexpensive, plus they dont have to be recovered.....all these reasons help to keep it with the "traditional Kustom" mindset. much more "Traditional Kustom" then searching high and low for a Factory seat that would need recovering which would end costing WAY more money. plus time!!

You need to check yourself. a better option of what to say would have been "those are much better then the seats you had yesterday(tan Saturn buckets)!! maybe you will get lucky and score a facktory bench at a swap meet in the future. until then...at least your merc isnt rusting away in some garage! plus you need bumpers my throw on get out there & drive that piglet".

    Tradition Kustoms, imho..

    best- barris or barris...

"my favorite" unchopped kustom- the first merc i ever rode in as a kid in the early 80's... even then, pulling into shows with the tail dragging, i realized how lucky i was...i would never chose to build a merc w/ quad lights, molded lake pipes, shaved bumpers, and no chop, but i'd love to own this one.

  25. Jessies Merc is nice, but.... no hubcaps?? C´mon now! Thats just plain wrong.:D

Not really a "finished" car, but for stance and the chop, this is one of my all time favourites. Ulf Christianssens car.

and the fonze built the best mercs .... all of them

  27. If you look at post #198,the pic speaks for itself.
As far as my "opinion" about the Lincoln Town Car seats. That's just the way I feel. When I posted that,I hadn't noticed that's what you had. I see alot of cars that put Lexus,Caddy,Lincoln, etc, seats in their cars, and it looks like shit! Some guys have re-covered them to appear older or more period correct, and don't look too bad. But usually they #1-sit too high,#2-have headrests,#3-the seats usually still have the emblems on them. I'm sure you probably got them cheap, and I don't know what your plans are,but the statement I made was based on ALL the other ones i've seen. Plus this IS a Traditional website,so what opinion would you expect me to have? If I offended you...sorry,but that's the way I feel about interiors...

    RIKSTER,
you are correct again!! its not my personal taste in interior. specially concidering he has worked pretty hard to get it that bad!?!

    Bob,
i hope someday i get seats that meet your approval.
until then....im going with the "run whatcha brung" mind set!!

    Thanks,
    Chris

'k, before the temper tentrum starts, I wanna ask a CRAZY Lincolne-Merc question!!! How's THAT for defuisng a tantrum?

Years ago, I bought a Plymouth from a guy with what HE CALLED a "baby Lincoln" WAY in the back of his place. I have to admit it was sweet. But I didn't pay enouhg attention to see if it was really a Lincoln or a Merc. It was late-'40s/early'50s vintage.

ANYBODY out there in HAMBland ever hear this term "BABY LINCOLN" ??? If so, is it a Merc or a Lincoln?
