Milner's 32. Drive it like I stole it, then sell it and buy a few Falfa's 55s.

Falfa... just cuz I hate that bright ass canary yellow... lol

  8. If it was just a money thing...the 32. If it was about which one would I like to own NOW?....32. But either one would be cool to have.

  9. The 32.

Here's a thought..What engine do you think Flafa would have been running? 409?
    (the 55 really has an L-88 427.)

Story based in 62, so a 327 and 409 were way too spendy.

    I'd say first guess is a 301 chev or 2nd is 348.

now the youngsters will say there was NO such motor as a 301 ;)

My most favorite car of all time is a '32 Ford 5w but Milner's was not nearly as cool as Falfa's '55. My brother might say that the '58 was even cooler. One thing is for sure, that Merc was a turd and I would rather drive Toad's scooter....maybe not.

tough one for me, but I think the '32 would be the better choice. The '55 is definitely close though.

I'd rather have the Merc so I could redo the chop and lower it a bit.

Milner's and I have a stock shell and radiator for it, and a gallon of black paint.

Like has been said, if it was strictly about the $$$ I'd have to take the deuce. BUT, strictly based on my gut- I'd go with the '55. I loved that car since WAY before I ever knew what a 'deuce' was or why it was cool. I can still hear the roar of that '55 when he hammered on it- that was just plain MEAN!!!:D

Since I've read all the post now, I'll try again. If you could afford to hotrod a 7 year old car in 1962, you could probably afford one of those new fangled crate engines. Maybe a "Corvette" 327, but I'd bet Falfa was more of a 409/409 kinda guy. He could use one of those new Hurst engine mount kits to put it in.
And it always looked to me like the 55 was a better built car than the 32, but how can you pass up a deuce?
Quiz--How can you tell at a glance that this engine is a 62 (It really is) and not a 63-65?

  27. I think "Falfa's" ride in his next big movie was a little faster, anyone for the Millenium Falcon?
