No, the deep end is where you presume you can change the subject. I meant what I wrote, "experiment".
Here's the drill; Boy #1 observes Boy#2 call Boy #3 ugly. Boy#1 thinks he'll try it. He waits until an ugly boy (#4) comes along and experiments. He is surprised when Boy#4 kicks his ass, but good. But he learnt. From then on he exhibits better manners, and grows up, then goes back and beats the shit out of boy #2 for misleading him.

Edit; Well, now that the cat's out of the bag, I've been exposed! Thought there for a minute we were talkin' about little boys making fun of me, but if it's about the body filler repairs, I patented them.

I've been sneakin' around the country filin' lawsuits against people that don't pay me royalties, then settling out of court, gettin' rich! You'd be surprised how many people stole the screen/pipe cleaner bit, even Bondo Company tried to steal my rights to that...........

".......all things considered" , now there's a line I tried to sell to a big TV/Radio show on PBS a few years back.

When I challeged Highlander, I was drunk. Didn't say a lot about my actual work, as I recall, might be mistaken but I think I referred to my 'workmanship', as in ability, at least thay was my intent, might be a copout. He's a good guy, as guys go, probably not as full of himself as he comes across on here, sometimes we get the wrong impression about how somebody seems to be, but that's true about all of us, isn't it. What ever happened to that thread? I don't recall going back to it, got bored.

Oops, got sidelined, changed the subject. Back to the Plastic (B) stuff vs Weld and grind; I can make more money selling junk (takes a lot less time) than can by sellin' quality any day. Then of course, there will always be debate between the quality of Plastic (B) stuffand weldin'. I weld and grind on my own personal stuff, plastic epoxy for the public's consumption. Edit;

29Nash, I've been one of the worst "bashers" nothing personal, I'm teaching my boy to do things the right way, but mistakes will happen, and he has the bondo can out filling in the heat shrink. Last week he pulled out a chunk of screen and "wtf???" The video is just hit a spot, I have been laughing and smiling, this brings back memories of high school autoshop, patching cars. Even dug out that can of "Curtiseal" filler from 1973 still 3/4 full. If your ever out this way I'll buy ya a beer and we can have a laugh or two telling stories. I spent 20 minutes explaining to him (my boy) how to set up a spray gun (an old bink 7 clone Craftsman brand) sprayed one side of a valance, had him side by side to get the idea, hand him the gun a minute later I'm yelling "Stop" "run and get a scissors", he takes of like a bat out of hell, comes back and I tell him "when that run gets to the edge you cut it off ok"...... damn near peed my pants laughing, tripped over the air hose, rolled on the floor for awile, he is still standing there watching that run. So freaking funny!
I appologize for the silly/rude comments no harm was intended, if there was old video of me, I'm sure it would have a audio fart track and silly comments added by me!

This thread was funny... now I'm morally repulsed. Bodywork done like that is WRONG. It merely covers the problem instead of fixing it, thereby fooling a buyer or customer. Leaving out details is still lying, people.

Do you think it's wrong to put sawdust in a trans or diff to keep it from making noise? That's the mechanical equivalent to this kind of bodywork.

 

You are entirely correct. Bondo is a bandaid. If the 'chain pulling' farce mixed anybody up, oh well..............

Just remember, it was other guys that started the "29nash is Al" farce. Fun though
