Body work is not for rookies!!! I spent 15 hours yesterday and 12 today only to deside not to paint it until I do another 8 to 12 hours of work... Hats off to you paint guys! I learned a lot... like, my next project will include a paint budget...

That is Curtis painting... That 2nd pic is one of his many projects (my fav-o-rite) That is my wifes new car to the right of the Desoto...

Big Dad, You are good if you knew that was a '66 Fury from one tail light. yer very right... You have seen it before too... 2 years ago at Pate... It is the dark blue VIP. My wife loves driving it. I have to work on the A/c for her though...

  5. The more time you spend prepping the body the more you'll like the end result. As you do more you will learn shortcuts that won't hurt the final product. Bodywork work as a whole is under-rated and only appreciated after you get your hands dirty. Keep up the good work!!!

I take it you aint gonna make the invasion with all this sanding going on?

  11. In case nobody ever told you or if your not doing it, always sand at 45 degree angles over each other. This will get the panel dead flat. For all i know you may already be doing that, just trying to help out.

ME TOOOO!!! I learned from the primer that I would not have been happy with the finial product...

Rusty, I plan on "going" but I will only be there after I'm done getting the paint on... This body work stuff is not for sissies!

Yes! That is how I was tought! And it works like a champ! To bad I was doing it wrong at 1st... I have the best old school teacher a guy gould ever ask for. He has let me do it all and then re-do what was not right. He let me mess up, back up and re-listen... I have recieved quite an education this week.

Thanks for the support guys!!! I was real bumbed last Friday night when I realized I was no where near "ready" But know I am very proud of how far I've come...

WOW, that is going to look SO AMAZING. I love seeing it with color on it, I was so hesitant because I am partial to rust but GREAT JOB.

OK that's funny... Hell no! I'm not on track! The car show was the 5th! I missed it...

I'm 2 or 3 week behind schedule... I paid to be in the show and did not even make it to get my tee shirt:rolleyes: But I would not trade it! I learned sooo much over the last week. I can not believe that I put 60+ hours into it in the last 7 days on top of my real job.

She should be on the road soon... Not too much left to do... he he he

Thanks for the words guys! I've really busted my but on this paint job.
    Jay
