Great picts! BUT, I can just see it now. That abortion of a truck in the first set of picts is going to get covered in every stupid magazine.

I thought the 40 ford had the most beautiful fat fendered front end. My mind has been changed. This Merc front end is a work of art. Question for the 40 Merc experts, has that hood been modified?



I like how the bumpers are slightly angled back here.
Pretty subtle trick. Seems most of those Pontiac split bumpers
get put on a car in a straight line, not quite matching
the angled/pointed front end of most cars.

He's removed some of the stock trim, and painted out some more, but most of what's there is stock '40 Merc. It is a really flattering view of that front end, for sure.

Why does everyone feel the need to take old tow trucks and destroy them?

 

The pics don't do justice (if that's the right word) to that truck. When he showed up with that thing in the B lot on Fri afternoon the first thing I thought was it was a refugee from a Mad Max movie. His spot was just behind mine until I got lucky enuff to get a spot by the hotel. That "truck" is sick, but not in a good way.....

I still cant get my head around this r..r.. shit, some cars seem to have a lot of good work done but a lot appear to be pieces of shit built by people with no skills at all who just want to part of the scene.

 

So what we all do what we can do in life. Don't you remember when a good Hot Rodder learned to do it all them selves. When I was in High School 50 years ago if you didn't learn to do it your self you got no respect.

It has turned into all these pro shops doing it heh there great but they are pro's and its not how the game started out.

But that's okay too, but never put the people down who are not pro's or you will have a lot of old guys who are pretty good but not pro's climbing all over your butt.
