Early Roll Call: Who's going to Shades Of The Past this year?

Wondering who all will be attending Shades this year? Maybe we can do a H.A.M.B and eggs breakfast one morning? Any ideas?

I may cruise down but I'm not going into the gold chainer fest . All the cool stuff is on the strip anyway. I would be down fer breakfast at Flapjacks in sevierville. Its never too busy.

 

Sounds like a plan, anyone else in for breakfast?

 

i've been the last 2 years,ain't made up my mind yet about this year. but where is flapjacks? i may try to find a motel a little further out any suggestions. do they jack the rates up in sevierville also?

 

Im sure they do, We booked or room about a month ago to get a better rate. I beleive the flapjacks skwurl is talking about is on the right side going through seveirville towards pigeon forge. If i remeber correctly its across from a go kart track?

 

would"nt miss it best time ANYWHERE,You have the show,then you have the Southern Gas collectable show out side of town,Easy rider rodeo in cherokee NC.Some really good Junk yards,15,000 yes not hundred but thousand hot rods,and a million spectators lining the street.Allot of people stay all week Shades 1st weekend then the Grand Fall run the next weekend and all this at the foot of the SMOKEY MOUNTAINS .Aullsume if you aint been YOU need to see it to believe it

 

The one Im taliking about is right off I40 its out of the way a bit. I got there at 730 last time and it was dead. We could probably get more people in there

 

I live about 2 miles from that Flapjacks right off the Interstate. Not the best place in the area. What about the Cracker Barrel on the other side of the Interstae next to the Stadium? I can meet you there about anytime.

 

Cracker Barrel sounds fine to me. What does everybody else think?

Not going to make it this year, didn't realize it was coming up so quick. One of these years though I would like to make it down.

 

I have been the last 10 years straight, but will have to miss this year due to financial woes. Fu**in bills!!!!

 

I passed it up last year for Grand Run, what a joke! Never again will I attend that show! Hate you guys cant make it down, I can feel ya on the bill situation. This is the only vacation I have taken all year. I had to miss Billetproof due to a layoff!

 

I am cruising up Sat morning to check it out. I had already made plans for Grand Fall Rod Run.

Shades is always the first weekend after Labor Day Chevy Girl so mark your calendar for next year. Its also the place I told Denise to take you to for breakfast if you ever came.....tons of Pancake Houses!!!!

Can't wait to get up to the Shades this year. We are in a cabin right off the strip this time. So no traffic or driving far. Come by the Big Red Roof Mall parking lot, right on the strip. Thats where we will be... Look for the '62 Impala and the '28 Tudor.

Me and Harrson will be there in a black 32 roadster pickup, along with some friends. Dad is bringing his 32 sedan that is for sale. My coupe is staying home this trip....

quite a few already here. The cruising was heavy tonight

 

i might show up on sat for the swap, not sure tho. i'm getting burnt out on the shades. to many 32 fords in one place and its hotter then hell in that field
