Posted this before, but here's mine, circa 1980.

 

Here's two of my truck I plan to finish after the one eyed Roadster is running...

 

This is Krause she was sitting in a garage for over 45 years when we pull her out. Built in 59 and painted a 1955 belair color to match their Chevy. It runs a 1955 Olds rear with a 283 chevy motor, had a 265 but switched out in 1961 were it was parked and sat till we got it

 

Here's my rare '29 Supercab.

 

My '28, 4" stretch 4-1/2" chop, flathead, 5 speed. Not finished but running. More work to do this winter.

 

they look so good unchopped!!!

 

WOW! that truck is right on every level. Real nice!!

it's a shame we don't see more 1929's on deuce rails. i love it!

 

This will be my next ride after the 56. Can the sedan doors be used to lenghten the cab? Im 6'4'' and would like to have a little extra room if I can get it, otherwise I will live with it.

 

Same overall length. Howells makes extended cab corners, though.

The doors, at least in 28-29 CC-PU are not the same as the passenger car doors. I don't believe that they interchange, in any case.

 

I sold this one last fall after I put it together from a pile of parts and pulled the cab off my AA truck (the crate in the bed was for some of the loose parts that went with it). Had I kept going to finish it, it wouldn't have looked a lot different other than a set of headlights and the rearend moved back to the stock location (it has a '40 rear and bones under it). I'm working on another one now but the parts aren't nearly as nice.

 

This one just hit the street a couple weeks back-You don't have to spend a ton to have a real deal steel "A"

she's a bit of a mutant: '29 Briggs cowl and hood, 30 doors and back of cab, all the rest is 29.

I don't often get around to looking back to follow through on posts

My 29 is a late 60's/early70's build, was built in Ca. by a guy up around
the Fresno/Modesto area. sold to Boyce Asquith who owned it till he died,
the estate sold it to Darrel here in OC, who literally drove the wheels off it
(one of these days I'll scan the pics from when I first bought it)

was running a 289 Ford / C4 with a 57 Pontiac rear end
now, it's a 289 Ford / AOD still with the 57 Pontiac rear end.





PS: Anybody who might know the original builder or have pics from when Mr. Asquith
owned it, I'd appreciate help in learning more of the history of the truck

And I totally understand about looking through old posts, I finally got around to checking back on this one myself.

 

This is my Buggy. Built from pieces and parts and runs every day. Present power is a 2.5 AMC 4Banger 5sp, Chevy axles. Love it. Iceman
