Good for you and your parents! My dad let me work with him on his hot rod / restoration when I was 13-14. It was his hot rod from high school. I’m now 44 and I drove it to work today. He just turned 70, so for his b’day, I’m taking him and his traditional hot rod to Louisville for the Nats tomorrow. We’ve done a lot of cars over the years, including my first which was a 67 ‘stang (a lot like your 68), but the best part really is spending the time together.

Have fun and learn all you can. The time with your dad (and mom) and knowledge that you gain is priceless and the memories and skills last a lifetime.

    Thats a nice El Camino.

    I love the G-Bodies.

When I was 13 I just wanted to get my El Camino running. I then bought a bunch of cars, sold all the nice ones, bought crap and currently am 18 building a truck out of mostly garbage. So you've already got a pretty good headstart.

  18. Since I live overseas I can't get ol' iron down here. So it is just a late model. Sorry man.
